Our very own Rick Heidner had the honor of being on the cover of the 20th Anniversary Issue of Quintessential Barrington. Being on the cover also meant being the feature story of the magazine which was fittingly titled Rick Heidner’s American Dream. His story of humble upbringings and rise as a real estate mogul were told through the wonderful words of Lisa Stamos. Rick’s “American Dream” story is one for the ages, while Rick hopes that no one has to go through what he did, the end result is nothing short of inspirational. From growing up with just his mom and older brother in a tiny crammed apartment, Rick and his brother worked endlessly to help support their mother. This hard work paid off and Rick eventually received a $100,000 loan from the bank due to his labor and vision for the future. With this loan he jump started his career and set the foundation for what Heidner Properties is today.
It’s impossible to tell Rick’s story without mentioning his charitable contributions as his story started with the mission of helping people. As Rick’s businesses grew, his philanthropic ventures increased tenfold. Rick and Heidner Properties are proud supporters of many organizations including Shelter Youth and The Anthony Rizzo Family Foundation, along with that Rick donated a house to make the Barrington based H.O.P.E. House Project possible.
